Xpmidi

XPMIDI saves favorite midi directories in its rc file, and handles the turning off of notes if a play is interrupted. It features an easy to use GUI. Released under the GNU public license so you can modify and improve it. The download includes the executable script and a short README.

The latest version supports multiple directories in the playlist, a directory name on the command line, or one or more midi filenames on the command line and the display of PDF files.

Version 5.1 has a large number of enhancements, bug fixes and options. Please note that if you are upgrading from a previous version the RC filename has changed and is not compatible with prior versions.

Playlist filenames are now stored on exit.

XPMIDI requires Python 2.2 (or greater) with tkinter.
